| Graf's ATA Martial Arts - Integrated Martial Arts (IMA) Program
In 1993, the Ultimate Fighting Championship forever changed martial arts by creating a tournament to pit the world's best martial artists against each other. The tournament was designed to answer the age-old question, “Which martial art is the most effective in a real life?” After 15 years of MMA events around the globe by the UFC and other organizations, MMA mania has now taken over the sports world. More importantly, it is now widely accepted that a combination of Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Boxing, and Wrestling is a strong foundation for fighting and self defense situation.
At GRAF'S ATA MARTIAL ARTS we teach the 4 primary ranges of combat fighting: IMA is designed to be an all around self defense class teaching stand up and ground defense in a fun and exciting environment while also getting a great workout. A typical class will include a warm up consisting of various stretching exercises, trunk rotations, jumps, squats and abs tightening exercises.Than we focus on all aspects of self-defense. First, we incorporate hands, elbows, knees, and feet. ATA has incorporates elements from taekwondo, mauy thai, cardio kickboxing, joint locks, chokes, holds, and throws. Including techniques from jui-jitsu and judo.
